OMG they're playing tag~ this is gorgeous. Absolutely breathtaking. The coloring is beautiful, and horse anatomy is just perfect. This definitely deserved the feature, the DD, and the attention! Anyone who sees the thumb will see the pro-ness from just that tiny view. I just wish more people would click on the thumb! Its wonderful to see a DD given to an animal painting- heart warming We need more artists like you!
I like it, but I wish I could see what everyone else is raving about... It's an excellent piece, but all I can think about is how huge their heads are and how their manes don't look as thoughtfully drawn in as the rest of the details.
It's deviantART, I've never seen one picture on this entire site that didn't get praised no matter how bad it was (not saying this is bad, just that 99% of dA spoonfeeds comments to everyone because they can't take criticism)
it is true that people suck up a fair bit on DD's. some people copy paste the same comment on every DD ._. i think its just because the people who critique or point out problems on DD's usually get ranted at since so many people are looking at it/fawning over it
Yeah, people are generally extra positive on DD's, although constructive comments still seem to be received well enough. It's the people who say stuff like, "this sux" that seem to get an extra backlash. However, I still don't think people say positive things on dA because they can't bear negativity in any form (helpful or otherwise), but simply because people are just being nice. Compliments don't equate to intolerance of critique, in my opinion :3 It's just being polite.
im always very honest with my comments but maybe i am one of few. there are quite a lot of people that have a go if you dont give anything but praise though. "i DIDNT ASK FOR CRITIQUE!!!" its not a critique its a comment ._. i think those people should disable comments if they cant handle it. i usually encourage people to point out problems on my own work
Out of all the other critiques I made you chose the one that had the most negative comments from other users. It was basically me repeating what a portion of the others said, even the artist himself agreed with my comment and rated it good. Honestly I just wanted a real description of what it was and I never would have had anything negative to say about it. I don't spoon feed compliments to everyone's art like the rest of deviantART does, I make sure I know what the art represents, I commented on an artist's picture and no one knew what it was unless they read her description which was was very well written, it didn't say "A cutout." If you want to be the protagonist of an argument then target someone who says something offensive to you, don't creep around someone's profile digging around for "skeletons" then but into their conversation just for the sake of trolling, I understand your name is "Is a Horse" and you're very upset because I said that most of deviantART dishes out compliments to everyone else's art inside a Daily Deviation page where the feature is art of horses using someone's stock photo, I never said this doesn't deserve DD or that this this picture is bad in any way, shape or form and if you check through all of the comments again looking for my name so you can butt into another one of my conversations to continue an argument you started, be my guest, because I wasn't insulting a Daily Deviation, I was stating a fact about dA.
